Horseshoe Bend is a horseshoe-shaped meander of the Colorado River located near the town of Page, Arizona. It is located 5 miles downstream from the Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell - and about 4 miles southwest of Page. When reaching the edge of the plateau, you are instantly struck by this truely awesome view. A 1000 feet (300 m) below you the Colorado River meanders through the terrain.
